Kids Care

We will once again offer Kids Care during the 2026-2027 school year at SCES for children in grades kindergarten through fifth. The program will be available until 5:30 pm on regular (not 11:00 am dismissal) school days.

The Stark County Elementary Kids Care program may consist of homework time and help, read aloud and independent reading time, recreation, snack and craft depending on time.

We are excited to offer this program and encourage your participation.  If you are interested in participating, please be aware that you will need to pay in advance for Kids Care.  The cost is $10.00 per day, per child. There is a minimum of $30 per week, or 3 days.

Fill out the Kids Care Sign-Up Form to the left on or before your child’s first day of Kids Care.  You may send payment to the office or pay online through Skyward Finance.  Please communicate regularly with your child’s teacher on the days your child will be attending Kids Care.  Again thank you for your interest in this program and I hope that it will be a benefit to you and your family.

Pick up from Kids Care is done via the Seesaw App in the Kids Care group. Parents/guardians, and others added to the approved pick up list will be able to pick up from Kids Care.

New: Student Behavior Expectations: Children are entitled to a pleasant and safe environment in the SCES Kids Care Program. Therefore, we cannot serve children who display disruptive and/or unsafe behavior. Students will be expected to follow SCES’s Expectations during Kids Care, the same as they do during regular school hours. Parents will be notified of any misbehavior. After a third notification regarding inappropriate behavior, the child will be discharged from the program temporarily. No refunds will be given. Administration reserves the right to terminate services for severe behavioral issues at any time. 

Kids Care Late Pick-Up Guidelines

In order to respect our staff, it is important that students are picked up on time. If your child is picked up after 5:30 pm, families will be charged a late fee to pay for staff time. The late fee is $5.00 until 5:40 pm and $1.00 per minute after 5:40 pm. If you have three late pick-ups in a school year, your child will be unable to participate in Kids Care for the remainder of that year.
